In the off-season I find myself coming up with strange headcanon to make my world view more interesting. In addition to Garnet's voice, lent by the talented singer-songwriter Estelle, the show occasionally features other celebrity voice cameos. What if these singers are Gems from the Homeworld, in disguise? And if that's the case, wouldn't there […] todayJanuary 21, 2016 17
Jennie Zell on January 29, 2016 I completely agree on most of these. The Beatles are my all time favorite, replaced only by Pearl Jam for a few years in the early 90’s. I dropped off from listening to PJ in the late 90’s and most of the 00’s, not really caring for the angry political phase they were going through. When Lightning Bolt came out a couple years ago, I found myself reconnecting with them, and it was very much like seeing an old friend that I’d lost touch with. For that matter, that’s how I felt watching “The Force Awakens,” too. Sure, that friend was different, but for the better. I can see they’ve cleaned up I could finally forgive them for their past behavior. I’m with you about 99% on NIN. When I saw them a couple summers ago, I was dreading the moment I had to sit through *anything* from Hesitation Marks. The album was trying so hard to be the old style of NIN but without any actual grit or soul. I’d much rather hear more Trent Reznor instrumentals. Anyways, played live and in context of the show, “Came Back Haunted” was GREAT. It worked. It got me thinking that perhaps the album was poorly produced? Either way it’s not one that I will listen to frequently. I respect the effort but it is certainly time for the Rez to move on. PS. “Fuck it” is my favorite Beatles song Reply
